On the afternoon of July 12, Wang Yang and Hu Ting, Business Managers of Haidilao (Central China), together with Mr. Tao Xianhong, representative of Youye Vegetables, its third-party fresh supply chain enterprise, visited the headquarters office of Yafei Seed to hold detailed talks on the trial operation of Yafei Lacinato kale at Haidilao (Central China).

Wang Yang and Hu Ting stated that Haidilao has been paying attention to various high-quality characteristic fresh vegetables. Very few vegetable varieties are suitable for hot pot. When they first tasted Lacinato kale, they found it very distinctive and with the potential to become a hit product. 'Unlike Chinese cabbage and kale which have soft leaves and a slight bitter taste, Lacinato kale tastes sweet, with a pleasant aftertaste and crisp texture.' They hoped the company could further strengthen the promotion of Yafei Lacinato kale to let more people know about this nutritious, healthy and distinctive new vegetable.

With full wrinkled leaves, bright green color after cooking and a natural fragrant aroma, Lacinato kale is an ideal match for hot pot. Whether in chicken soup, mushroom soup or spicy broth, Lacinato kale tastes sweet and refreshing after blanching. Therefore, besides Haidilao, Lacinato kale is favored by many high-end hot pot catering brands. Among them, the cooperation between Yafei Seed and Baniu Tripe Hot Pot on Lacinato kale is also under discussion.

Regarding the cooperation with Haidilao (Central China), Mr. He pointed out that Yafei Seed currently possesses exclusive germplasm resources of Lacinato kale in China, featuring uniqueness and irreplaceability, which is highly beneficial for Haidilao to build a regional hit product that other vegetables cannot match. He hoped the cooperation between both parties could proceed in an orderly manner to build a long-term win-win relationship and create new glories for brand development.
