Variety selection
Yafei Baoyu, a hybrid generation of celery seeds, grows vigorously, is resistant to bolting, the petiole is not easy to hollow, has good disease resistance and strong adaptability. The stalks are yellow-green, compact columnar, 70-80cm tall, high yield, and first-class commodity.

The optimum growth temperature of celery is 15-22℃. If it is higher than 25℃, it will not grow well, and it is easy to produce diseases and insect pests. If it is higher than 30℃ and lower than 5℃, it will stop growing, and its commercial properties will be affected.
Seed soaking

sowing
Choose convenient irrigation and drainage, loose and fertile fields as seedbeds, and prepare nutrient soil before planting. Due to the high temperature and heavy rain in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in summer, it is best to use rain-proof shade sheds to grow seedlings, that is, cover a layer of black shade nets on the large shed covered with a top film, which can provide shade and prevent rain.
Prepare before planting. Use a seedbed to raise seedlings, and use a special vegetable seedling substrate for the seedling soil, or use a mixed substrate with a volume ratio of peat: vermiculite: perlite=2:1:1. It can also be sieved through a sieve of pastoral soil to lay a seedbed with a thickness of 10cm; the area of the seedling bed is equal to The planting area ratio is 1:60, which means that every 600 square meters of celery requires a seedbed area of 10 square meters.
Sowing seedlings. Water the seedbeds thoroughly, ditch the seedlings every 8cm, with a depth of 0.5-1cm, drill the seedlings, cover with soil about 0.3-0.5cm, and spray water; then build a small arch shed and cover with black shading nets to shade the seedlings (autumn). In spring, seedlings should be raised in the protected area and temperature control should be done well.

Colonization
When the seedling grows to 5 to 7 true leaves, it is ready for planting. It takes about 30 days from seedling division to planting. Start to control fertilizer and water around 7 days before planting, strengthen seedlings and strengthen roots, and improve the resistance of seedlings. Drain the seedbed with water 1 day before planting, and plant the seedlings as they emerge. Choose sturdy, disease-free, uniform seedlings when planting, and eliminate weak and diseased seedlings.
The planting row spacing is 30-40cm, and the plant spacing is 20-30cm. The single plant is planted, and 4500-8000 plants per mu; the spring cultivation has a short growth period. In order to improve the yield, double planting can also be implemented. When planting, do not bury the heart at the top and not show the roots at the bottom, and water thoroughly after planting.
Water and fertilizer management

Pest Control
Main pests: Aphids and Liriomyza. In order to prevent and control aphids, a yellow board can be hung in the shed to trap them. If necessary, spray with imidacloprid or acetamiprid, or use isoprocarb to fumigate the shed. The effect is even better. In the early stage of the onset of Liriomyza, remove the diseased leaves or spray with abamectin on the foliar surface.
Main diseases: leaf spot and spot blight can be controlled by cymoxanil. Early blight can be used propsenzine, mancozeb. Pyrimethanil, a multi-antibiotic, is used for gray mold.

Autumn open field cultivation should be harvested before frost; spring cultivation requires harvesting before vine extraction; greenhouse cultivation should be harvested when the heart leaves are fully developed and the outermost leaves are just showing signs of senescence. After harvesting the old leaves, the net weight of a single celery plant is generally 0.5~1kg, and the yield per mu is 15000 catties -20000 catties.
