On May 19, 2026, five authoritative industry experts gathered at Yafei Seed Agricultural Science and Technology Park for the on-site appraisal and acceptance of the seed production and propagation project. The experts included: Du Yongchen, Researcher at the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), and Former Chief Scientist of the National Bulk Vegetable Industry Technology System; Zhang Fenglan, Researcher and Chief Expert in Breeding Discipline of Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences Vegetable Research Center; Li Zhansheng, Researcher at the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, CAAS, and Position Scientist of the National Bulk Vegetable Industry Technology System; Zhang Xiaoli, Researcher at Tianjin Kerun Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd.; and Gao Guangjin, National Model Worker and Agricultural Technology Extension Researcher.

The appraisal meeting was presided over by Researcher Li Zhansheng. He Yafei, General Manager of Yafei Seed, together with the core technical, research and production teams of the company, accompanied the experts throughout the acceptance process.

The expert group went deep into the seed production and propagation greenhouses to inspect plant growth status, pod quantity, plumpness of grains, planting density, pest and disease prevention and control, and conducted on-site measurement of seed yield. They offered professional guidance and suggestions on the optimization of hybrid seed production technology, field management and yield improvement.

Following the on-site inspection, a summary forum was held. General Manager He Yafei introduced the company’s development history, breeding R&D layout, improved variety cultivation plan and industrial development vision. Yao Shaolin, Project Person-in-Charge, reported on technical requirements, technological innovation, yield growth and demonstration & promotion effects of the seed production and propagation project. Subsequently, the experts conducted rigorous discussions on project indicators, summarized innovative highlights and improvement directions, reviewed and signed the expert appraisal report, completing the project acceptance successfully.

All technical indicators of the seed production and propagation project have met the set standards, fully demonstrating Yafei Seed’s core strength in vegetable breeding R&D and seed production technology.
