On the afternoon of May 8, an expert team from the Science, Technology and Seed Industry Management Division of Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Wuhan Intellectual Property Protection Center visited Yafei Agricultural Science and Technology Park for an onsite seminar. The activity precisely matched the enterprise’s intellectual property needs and supported its high-quality development.

The seminar was attended by Yang Kai, Deputy Director of the Science, Technology and Seed Industry Management Division; Zhang Liu, Director of the Navigation Department; Yue Qian, Director of the Rights Protection Department; as well as Guo Shuailing and Zou Xiaoxuan from Wuhan Intellectual Property Protection Center. At the meeting, centering on key points of patent application and protection, the expert team systematically interpreted core rules concerning the application for new plant variety rights, DUS testing, infringement determination, and the application of punitive damages. They further analyzed solutions to prominent problems such as counterfeit variety infringement and the loss of germplasm resources in the seed industry. In response to enterprise concerns over patent layout, infringement prevention and control, rights protection and evidence collection, and achievement transformation, the experts provided targeted answers and practical guidance.

He Yafei expressed gratitude to the expert team for their visit and guidance. He introduced Yafei Seed’s practical achievements and plans in germplasm resource innovation, new variety breeding, and intellectual property management.
