Run, Asia and Africa Seed Industry
Introduction: Running is a kind of upward force; it is a kind of forward kinetic energy; it is a shock to constantly surpass oneself; it is the best interpretation of positive energy. For nine years, the Asian and African people have been running forward, regardless of whether it is downwind or headwind, no matter how great the resistance ahead, we have been moving forward at full speed. Challenge yourself, surpass yourself, improve yourself... Everyone here is afraid that if they don't run fast enough, they will fall behind. I have been working in the seed industry in Asia and Africa for three years. During these three years, I have taught me a lot of principles, especially the following four things, which have benefited me for life:
Running Lesson 1: Running requires a sense of responsibility
Three years ago, in June, I walked into the office of the Asian-African Seed Industry for the first time. What I saw was the busy Asian-African people. The feeling from top to bottom was that it was busy and orderly. Because it was summer when I joined the company, and the peak period of the company's sales, every day an endless stream of customers came to the company to consult and pick up the goods. What makes me curious is: whether a large family who buys 1,000 bags of seeds in the company or a small family who only buys 1 bag of seeds, or even a farmer who comes to consult planting techniques, they will be warmly received by Asian and African people as friends; regardless of whether they are responsible for receiving them. In the office, the regional supervisor or the boss himself, the visitors are all guests. At that time, I had only one year of workplace experience, and it was not enough to understand this. I think privately, the company is really "down-to-earth", even the boss can call the farmers brothers and sisters, and I don't think it is "faner"!
Finally, one day I didn’t hold back my curiosity, and I asked the boss vaguely, “It’s just a pack of 10g seeds. How come those customers are like picking up treasures? Where can’t I buy a pack of cabbage seeds?” The leader lowered his head and thought. After a while, I still remember his answer. He said: "For a farmer, a good seed means a good harvest in the second year. All of our company's commodity seeds must be tested and planted before they can be demonstrated, observed and promoted. All this depends on It is nothing but the responsibility and conscience we carry in selling seeds! Small seeds, big dreams, a seed can change a world!
To be a business is the same as being a person, regardless of responsibilities, specializing in a one-shot deal, and the company will eventually close down. Many foreign companies have gone through the efforts of several generations. In Japan, the key to measuring the success or failure of a company is: one is to look at the reputation, the other is to look at the history. ‘One hundred villages, one hundred points, one hundred years old shop, don’t seek the top one hundred, but one hundred years! "Our Asian-African Seed Industry will also become such a century-old enterprise, so the most important thing for everyone in the company is not ability, but sense of responsibility! "
Running Lesson 2: Opportunities are only reserved for those who are prepared
That was the first time I felt so tense in the company atmosphere since I joined the company. At the beginning, I didn't know what documents the two girls of my colleague were preparing. I only saw that they made numerous changes to the same set of PPTs over and over again within a week. From the construction of the framework, the selection of pictures, the typesetting, and the editing of the text, to the finalization of the final document, they were troubled to modify it dozens of times until the leader finalized the decision and put the document into the U disk and took it away.
Later I learned that the seed industry has a grand party every year-"Asia-Pacific Seed Annual Meeting". Many world-class "big names" will get together that week. For those of us who are still "on the run", in just half an hour of communication time, we must elaborate on all the important points, and we need to be fully prepared beforehand.
"How to cut into the main points in the shortest time", "How to pass our company's business philosophy in the shortest time, in the most direct way to the friends who are working with you for the first time", "How to overcome the obstacles in communication between the two languages as much as possible "...Now I finally understand why we need to experience countless "storms and rains" before attending the conference. The ancestors said, "One minute on stage, ten years of work off stage", this is really vivid here!
A rare opportunity, I was fortunate to have a meal with the seniors of a provincial seed chamber of commerce. Before the meal, I sat in the corner silently, no one noticed me. To be more introverted, to be honest, I feel quite disappointed!
I started to dine and saw the young people sitting around holding wine glasses and respectfully walked to a senior to toast. After asking, I found out that the senior was President Huang of the Seed Chamber of Commerce. I thought: it's time to brush up on the sense of existence on behalf of the company! Unexpectedly, after self-reporting, the senior not only communicated cordially with me, but also told me the following story.
"Oh! It turns out that you belong to the Asian-African Seed Industry. Your company has done quite well in recent years! Every year in the trial planting at the bases across the country, you have done quite beautifully. You, Mr. He, are really famous for doing things. what!
I still remember that for the Asia Pacific Conference held in Taiwan a few years ago, I went to Taiwan with you Mr. He. At that time, neither of us had any experience in attending the conference, nor did we have an appointment with any company before the conference. I went to the meeting in the mood to see. Unexpectedly, after entering the venue, Mr. He began to visit every booth very seriously. At that time, he really found some foreign companies interested in cooperating. He immediately took out his laptop, opened the prepared PPT report, and began to communicate with each other. In the end, several deals were really negotiated! I thought to myself that someone like him who seizes every opportunity and prepares seriously will always succeed.
Sure enough, the achievements of your company in recent years are obvious to all of us. As the company grows larger, the company's awareness and brand influence also increase. "
Running Lesson 3: To be successful, you must be with successful people
The old saying goes well, "Hearing is not as good as seeing" and "Practice is the only criterion for testing truth." In November 2013, I finally had the opportunity to personally participate in the Asia-Pacific Seed Annual Meeting held in Kobe, Japan, to experience first-hand the demeanor of the big names on the international stage.
In the spare time of going to Japan to participate in the conference, Mr. He will take us to visit the booths of well-known seed companies in the exhibition hall, and let us learn and observe the design style of the international booth. "If one day, we will have our own booth at the Asia Pacific Conference, and whether you can do it well when it is handed over to you will depend on today's accumulation!" At that time, the two largest booths in the exhibition hall were "TAKII" from Japan. "SEED" (Japan Takii Seedling) and "SAKATA SEED" (Japan Sakata Seedling), both companies are world-renowned seed companies with hundreds of years of history, but they are not unfamiliar to me at all, because they are exactly The main partner of our company. During the meeting, the place we met with Bantian Company was in the "Private Meeting Room" of Bantian Company. I also met the legendary and mysterious "Mr. Nakai" who is in charge of business in the Asia-Pacific region by Sakata Company. Afterwards, I realized that when dealing with important big customers, whether it is out of courtesy or the protection of important customers, choosing a "private meeting room" is the best choice. After receiving this kind of courtesy, I deeply feel how strong the company's product resources are and can stand the test of time.
After the Kobe Asia-Pacific Conference, we did not return to our country directly, but were invited by Takii Corporation of Japan to participate in their "Global Key Client Reception". During the visit, they visited their headquarters office and R&D center in Kyoto, Japan. Baptized by the professionalism of Japanese companies, I feel the gap between myself and the employees of a century-old seed company. Leaders usually encourage us to learn more and enrich ourselves. It turned out to be based on an international employee management method.
At that time, I felt that we were still far away from setting up our own booth at the Asia-Pacific Seed Conference, and the task of learning how to display the company's image on the international stage was not so urgent. Unexpectedly, at the Macau Asia-Pacific Seed Annual Meeting in 2014, we realized this wish as a golf tournament sponsor for the Asia-Pacific Seed Annual Meeting for three consecutive years (2014-2016)!

Running Lesson 4: One objective criticism is better than countless subjective praises
With the third spring and autumn of the Asian-African Seed Industry, I feel that I have been working hard and want to better fulfill the mission entrusted to me by the company, but sometimes I feel very wronged. Since joining the company, he has rarely been affirmed and praised by the leaders. More often, it is criticism, blame and education.
I didn't understand this approach very much before, and felt that the boss had all-round, multi-angle and high demands on us. For example: Whether it is the Seed Fair in Wuhan, the Seed Expo in Beijing and Guangzhou, or even the previous Asia-Pacific conferences, we are required to dress neatly and stand up to receive guests. At the end of the year, we will take us to the company's trial planting base to see the product trial planting, and conduct an assessment of the company's products and other professional knowledge for all employees. Seeing representatives of other companies sitting and resting during the exhibition, we have to maintain a high level of concentration at all times.
Until one time, Mr. Cai from Qingnong Seedlings in Taiwan came to visit, and happened to meet me being criticized, and I greeted him with aggrieved expression. He smiled at me and said: "He has strict requirements for you young people in all aspects. He is helping you. For you, he is a rare person in your career. The higher the requirements of you, the more you The better in the future. Cherish such a good leader who strictly requires you! Only with my son can he be so strict. This is a manifestation of responsibility."
After listening to this, I can’t even think about it in depth: Since my performance is so unsatisfactory in the eyes of the leader, why is there always such a rare opportunity in front of me that I can know so much? The "big names" experts have allowed me to stand on the international stage many times, exercise myself, and learn to temper?
Companies that can give themselves so many opportunities to study and further their studies, especially private enterprises, are really rare in such a realistic society today!
The reason for this is that there are three treasures in the Asian and African seed industries, and there are no shortage of employees, customers, and products! Every time we make small progress, the boss has long been able to see it, but he cultivates a younger generation like us like his own children, and the requirements for us will be higher and higher. He hoped that the Asian-African seed industry will become a century-old enterprise. We can walk together, and we can witness the company's splendor at that time; instead, the company is moving faster than us personally, so we have to be affected by this cruel but fierce competition. disuse!
There are pacesetters at the front and chasing soldiers at the back. We must run hard every day! To succeed, you must race against successful people every day.
So, let's run together, Asia and Africa Seed Industry!
