The Asian and African broccoli series of early, middle, late, and extra-late maturing varieties independently developed by Asia and Africa Seed Industry have wide adaptability and a long market cycle. They are very suitable for planting in Wuhan and surrounding areas. Annual supply is earlier than red and cabbage moss in autumn On the market, it can be off the shelf later.

Asian and African broccoli is rich in protein, vitamins A, B, C, E. The vitamin content is twice that of cabbage and four times that of tomato. The content of vitamin A is 100 times that of cauliflower. Studies have found that broccoli contains 10 times higher anti-cancer substances than ordinary broccoli.

With the transformation of people's living standards from subsistence to nutrition and health care, Asian and African broccoli will surely become a new variety and new bright spot in functional foods.

In order to adapt to this new development requirement, Wuhan Agricultural Technology Extension Center will take the lead in organizing and arranging 15 agricultural companies and professional cooperatives in 6 new urban areas of Wuhan to demonstrate the planting of Asian and African broccoli moss this year. In Wuhan, the yield of Asian and African broccoli is generally about 2400 jin per mu, with an output value of 8000-10000 yuan per mu.

Jiang Zhengjun, director of the Municipal Agricultural Technology Center, said that we have done four aspects for the demonstration and promotion of Asian and African broccoli:

First, the six experts from the Municipal Agricultural Technology Extension Center will go deep into the fields and be responsible for technical guidance to the Asian and African broccoli planting demonstration bases in the six new urban areas of Wuhan;

The second is to establish a municipal-level Han-produced broccoli technology exchange group, and timely reply to questions in the planting demonstration base;

The third is to allocate part of the funds to subsidize enterprises. Next year, it is planned to increase the promotion funds to prepare for the expansion of the planting area of Chinese broccoli;

Fourth, it is planned to convene a summary meeting of Chinese broccoli moss to listen to the opinions of representatives of various planting demonstration bases on how to expand the planting scale of Chinese broccoli moss.

Lin Wei, chairman of the Wuhan Development Zone (Hannan District) Agricultural Investment Company, suggested from the perspective of the industrial chain:

First, the government provided subsidy funds to support the infrastructure construction (cold chain, warehousing, processing) of Chinese broccoli;

The second is to introduce a bioengineering enterprise for deep processing of broccoli, taking advantage of the richness of vitamins in broccoli, and increasing the added value of broccoli produced in Han;

The third is to build a Han-produced broccoli industrial park, and introduce large-scale bases for integrated cooperation in broccoli seedling and planting;

Fourth, we hope that the government will actively help connect with the main players in the agricultural batch market of Wushang, Zhongbai, and Baishazhou, and carry out order purchases of broccoli moss produced in Han Dynasty.
